Content of lessons - I would like to know what my child is learning at school
Please look at the books and your child's notebooks. Let your child tell you the content.
In German schools, religious education plays an important role. It is possible that Islamic religious education is offered at your child's school. In German schools there is much emphasis on tolerance between the various religions.
At 14, your child must decide by law whether it wants to participate in religious classes or ethics classes. In ethics your child learns the values and norms of all religions.
Note that German schools transmit values of Christian tradition.
